Among all of the questions that will be discussed the next few days about the Man United V Madrid tie: was it a sending off? (There is a largely unanimous answer to this one) Did it completely change the game? Is the refereeing standard in football too low? How long will Fergie’s touchline ban for his comments about the ref? I just wanted to first, commend Man United on a decent performance over the two legs, and second give my respect to Mourinho, who walked off before the match finished.
Not only that but he also apologised to SAF iirc, and in general hold a very apologetic tone on the touchline after the sending off. Unless I’ve been engulfed in his emotional trickery, of course. Fair play to him there, though.
